The Lindy Cat.6 DisplayPort 1.2 KVM Extender is an efficient and reliable solution for extending high-quality 4K DisplayPort signals to distances up to 100m (328.08ft) over standard Cat.5e/6 power cables. DisplayPort 1.2 allows transmission of high 4K UHD 3840×2160@60Hz resolutions without compression, perfect for eye-catching digital signage or detailed content in medical installations.

The extender supports lossless audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD to accompany video content with multi-channel sound. USB-KM connectivity via 2 USB HID ports allows remote control of a DisplayPort PC with keyboard and mouse on the receiver. This allows the PC to be placed in a safe environment with controlled temperature while delivering video content from the display source without interruption.

The extender transmits signals up to 100m, with the transmitter connected to a DisplayPort source device, e.g. a PC or laptop, and the receiver connected to a suitable location on an LFD (large format display), monitor or projector. The flexibility of the system allows it to be used in a variety of scenarios, e.g. training, CAD facilities or remote server management.

PoC (Power over Cable) enables the transmission of power and data signals via a Cat.6 cable in a point-to-point connection between transmitter and receiver. This means that only one power supply unit is required, which is an advantage if there are only a few sockets on the receiver side.

Bi-directional infrared ports on both sides of the installation allow source devices to be controlled from the display side and the display to be controlled from the DisplayPort source device. RS-232 connections allow integration of pre-installed control systems. To ensure a secure connection, the power supply is screwable - perfect for professional installations where accidental disconnection can cause major problems. The integrated EDID function ensures maximum compatibility with the display or projector on the receiver side.
