A Matrix Switch offers the possibility of independent and simultaneous distribution of AV content from multiple source devices to multiple displays in freely selectable switching configurations.

The 2×2 HDMI 18G Matrix Switch provides such a solution for distributing the content of two source devices to two target devices (displays, TV sets or projectors). Two HDMI inputs and outputs each offer the possibility to switch between two separate source devices, respectively two connected HDMI displays and to output video signals from one or two sources to two displays.

Support for 18GBit/s (18G) HDMI signals enables transmission of high-resolution 4K UHD resolutions up to 4096×2160@60Hz, while High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability allows video playback with unprecedented brilliance, high contrast and expanded color gamut - the perfect solution for high-quality home theater environments or smaller retail digital signage environments.

The integrated support for HDCP2.2 ensures that even copy-protected content is not left out, for example when using Blu-ray players, set-top boxes or 4K media players as source devices. The uncomplicated EDID management via a slide switch on the front panel ensures that the best possible resolution is always used, depending on the combination of source and target device.

In addition to HDMI audio pass-through, a TosLink and 3.5mm audio output also allow the audio signal to be decoupled from the HDMI data stream - for example, to drive soundbars, analog speaker systems or AV receivers to generate an immersive audio experience to complement the high-resolution video images on the displays.

The Matrix Switch can be controlled in a very simple way via switch buttons on the front panel.
