Cat.6 extenders enable cost-effective and reliable transmission for A/V signals over much greater distances than are possible with passive cables or active repeater solutions.

The 50m HDMI & IR Cat.6 Extender provides a simple and easy to use plug & play solution that allows HDMI signals to be transmitted over distances up to 50m via a low cost U/UTP Cat.6 cable (not included). Further convenience is provided by the extender's ability to transmit IR remote control signals (20-60kHz) over the same Cat.6 cable using the included IR receiver and emitter cables.

Supporting resolutions up to Full HD 1920×1080@60Hz, video content can be reproduced with captivating clarity and detail over distances up to 50m, ideal for use in a wide range of AV and digital signage applications for a variety of scenarios, such as home, education, retail and medical.

The Extender provides a local HDMI ('loop out') output at the transmitter for simultaneous image output, so that a display connected there can also be used as an additional viewer display for local monitoring. To ensure maximum compatibility when using two displays, the EDID data responsible for setting the correct resolution and refresh rates can be used by either the local or the remote display.

The Power-over-Cat. function (PoC) enables the extender to work with only one power supply for both components (Tx & Rx). The power supply is connected to the transmitter, so the receiver can be placed independently from existing sockets.
In addition, the slim and compact design of the device's components makes it very easy to position them even in difficult spaces such as behind displays or at the back of desktop computers. This allows for discrete installations that save long cable runs.

Please note: The mentioned lengths and resolutions are possible with a direct cable connection between transmitter and receiver and using high quality Cat.6 solid core cables. The use of other cable types or junction boxes, double couplers or patch panels may greatly reduce these values.
